Description

We are currently recruiting for a Practical Nursing Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students.  The Practical Nursing Instructor is responsible for providing instruction in all aspects of the Practical Nursing program and preparing students to write the CPNRE. Courses include, but are not limited to: Administration of Medications; Personal and Professional Relationships 1-3; Health and Healing 1-3; Health Challenges 1-3; Nursing Assessment and Praxis 1-3; Nursing Transitions. Clinical and Practical-nursing instruction is included.

Additonal responsibilities include; classroom management; taking attendance and submitting it on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis and other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; or Nursing Diploma accompanied by a Bachelors Degree in a respective field; current or active registration with SRNA; strong communication and interpersonal skills; valid Class 5 drivers license.  The applicant must be prepared to schedule hours of work according to the demands of the position, including evenings and weekends when necessary and be willing to travel, including overnight stays and travel on gravel roads. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.

Accrediting Institute: Saskatchewan Polytechnic - Instructor must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnics accreditation requirements.
