Facility: Battlefords Mental Health Centre
Job Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, and under the general direction of the program area manager, as applicable, is responsible for the day to day development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Mental Health and Addictions Services programs. The primary goal of this position is to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery and personal development programs. Clinical duties are supervised by the program area manager, as applicable.

Responsibilities include providing information programming, participation in drug strategy initiatives, individual and group counseling and harm reduction program implementation and documentation within a dynamic and nontraditional team milieu.

Required Qualifications

Six months clinical experience working directly in Addictions field
Diploma in Chemical Dependency studies, or another completed social sciences or human services discipline acceptable to the Employer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to promote healthy lifestyles in urban and rural settings and with diverse populations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the Addictions specific twelve core functions
A strong working knowledge of the Developmental Model of Recovery, the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Services, the Motivational Assessment Process and the policies and procedures established by Mental Health and Addictions Services
