Job Description: In accordance with the vision, mission and values of the Heartland Health Region and the Region's policies and procedures relating to Mental Health and Addictions services and within the boundaries of the Heartland Health Region, the Addictions Counsellor is accountable for delivering a community-based problematic substance use and gambling treatment program to individuals and their families.  The Addictions Counsellor is also accountable to promote an increased awareness within the Region regarding problematic substance use and gambling issues through community related prevention activities.  The Addictions Counsellor reports directly to the Director of Population Health Services for program supervision, to the Addictions Clinical Supervisor for clinical supervision, and to the Care Team Manager of the health centre where the position is headquartered for administrative supervision.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Diploma in Addictions Counseling or Human Services
Experience
Experience is preferred.
