POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: PREVENTION
CLASSIFICATION: PERMANENT FULL-TIME
SALARY: SALARY WILL COMMENSURATE WITH QUALIFICATIONS
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Prevention Services (or his/her designate) the Project Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Family and Receiving Home Project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, policies and goals of the Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc Strong leadership skills and supervisory skills are essential and must be able to follow the goals and objectives of the First Nation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, plan and implement goals and objectives for the Receiving Home Project department, prepare and administer internal policies and procedures relating to departmental program activities; interpret and explain applicable policies and procedures to other staff members or community membersl and implement the project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Business Administration undergraduate degree and (3) years work experience as a project manager in construction.
Equivalent combination of training, education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere or independently.
Must have strong leadership skills and supervisory skills.
Have strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
Highly self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated experience in taking initiative to address challenges or realize opportunities.
Ability to work independently and to prioritize and multi-task.
