Description

The Medical Clinic at Ile a la Crosse, SK, a University-affiliated six-physician medical practice, requires the services of TWO full-time Clinic Support Team Members who will be valuable members of the multi-discipline support team responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the medical clinic. The Natawihin-Nakasuwenik Clinic provides a spectrum of medical services from prevention and primary care, through to itinerant specialists with access to secondary and tertiary services, as well as remote training for Family Medicine Residents and medical students. The Clinic Support Team Members will have a close working relationship with the Saskatoon-based Administrative Services Unit.

The successful candidate will: provide back-up services to all other positions in the clinic, assist the clinic staff on a daily basis during busy periods, help with EMR transition, and other administrative duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have acquired education and experience in an administrative role. He/she will have knowledge of and respect for First Nations and Metis lifestyle, culture and traditions. Computer skills are essential; knowledge of medical terminology is an asset. Keen attention to accuracy and attention to detail, understanding the importance of confidentiality and professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently is required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal and organization skills are essential. Emphasis on safe and quality patient care is required.  The ability to adapt to new technology in order to enhance the existing administrative team is required.
This is an out-of-scope position. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
