Description

Loraas Environmental Services is seeking a full-time permanent employee to operate heavy equipment at the Kindersley Landfill. The selected individual will be responsible for maintaining the face of the Landfill and directing traffic in and around delivery areas.  

Duties & Responsibilities:  
Directing traffic in and around the material delivery areas.
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report any issues or items of concern found.
Travel will be required to and from Landfill. Training may be conducted off-site with travel costs provided by Loraas.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience operating equipment
Certificate(s) in Heavy Equipment Operation an asset
Experienced in basic daily maintenance of heavy equipment
Farm background considered an asset
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work carefully and efficiently independently.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn a variety of tasks.
Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from Landfill.
Criminal Record Check required.
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
