Description

The primary purposes of the Associate Policy Risk position are to provide support to the development of risk management frameworks, policy, risk management committee mandates and risk reporting, and assist in the coordination of the management of the Banks regulatory affairs. This position supports the Risk Governance, Policy and Regulatory Affairs team within the Risk Management Group.

The position will support the risk management frameworks and policy model by supporting the development, review and enhancement to the Risk Governance Framework, Risk Appetite Framework and Corporate Policy Framework.  It will also support the development, review and enhancement to Corporate Policy and Management Guidelines.  It will prepare reporting on Risk Appetite, risk profile and Corporate Policy compliance, and maintain an awareness of emerging OSFI and other regulatory developments. It will research and provide in depth analysis on governance and financial industry best practices while contributing to the development of an optimal risk culture at the Bank.

The position will support the risk management committee mandates and risk reporting through the development, review and enhancement to the risk management committee mandates; preparing risk reporting for the risk management committees and Board; and contributing to the development and maintenance of technology  ensuring risk data populated is timely, accurate and consistently applied.

The position will provide support to the regulatory relationship by assisting with the coordination of all supervisory communications between OSFI and the Bank, the management of responses to recommendations from OSFI, and the coordination of OSFI on-site reviews.
