Description

This position will manage and conduct the delivery of assigned internal audit and consulting services in accordance with the organizations internal audit mandate, and the Audit Plan to assist management and the board in performing their oversight responsibility.

The Internal Auditor conducts internal audits with multiple departments and strategic business partners to evaluate and inform them on organizations identification and management of risk; the effectiveness of management controls; the sufficiency of, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures; compliance with laws and regulations; and overall efficiency and effectiveness.

This position will also conduct consulting assignments with multiple departments and strategic business partners to assist in the identification and analysis of risk management, security, auditability, and management control in information systems and operational processes.

The Internal Auditor is responsible to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships by understanding and responding to client internal audit and consulting needs; and identifying terms of engagements for services required.  Maintaining open communication regarding audit processes and results, creating and presenting audit reports, and working with clients to the audit resolution phase are critical to the role.  This position also assists External Auditors with year-end audit work.

This role contributes to the annual and ongoing development of the department strategic and operational plans by maintaining awareness of changes to industry, accounting and audit requirements and ensuring compliance.
