Job Description: The Nipawin KidsFirst Program covers the Town of Nipawin as outlined in the Provincial KidsFirst Program. This position will be attached to the KidsFirst team and will provide services that are accessible and voluntary to families.
The KidsFirst Mental Health Therapist will be available to meet some of the needs of the targeted population for the KidsFirst Program. The incumbent will provide support to the families as well as consultation in the areas of mental health and addiction for KidsFirst program staff. The incumbent will be available in non-clinical settings and strive to address the current barriers and unique needs of the KidsFirst target population. The incumbent will develop mental health and addiction programs unique to high-risk women and families and use creative outreach to engage with families. As part of the team, he/she will play a role in both direct services and in supporting other team members in their ability to address the mental health needs of very young children and their families.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Psychology
