Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of all physician recruitment and retention activities of the organization.  The position also researches, supports and advises the Director of Medical Affairs, Medical Department Heads and Vice President of Medical Services on strategies to improve recruitment and retention and assists in the development and deployment of programs, policies and processes to improve physician recruitment, retention and medical administration.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Physician Recruitment and Retention Consultant is responsible for:

Physician Recruitment and Onboarding
    Develop and enhance relationships with medical students and residents both in Saskatchewan and across Canada to facilitate recruitment.
    Collaborate with other organizations like saskdocs (the physician recruitment agency), Saskatchewan Medical Association, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Colleges of Medicine, Ministry of Health officials and medical affairs staff in health regions to influence and improve recruitment and retention.
    Liaise with medical leaders (Department Directors and Clinical Leads) and other SCA staff in determining physician resource requirements including conducting impact analyses when additional positions are contemplated.
    Design and deploy recruitment and onboarding processes including those for specialists such as oncologists and haematologists and generalist physicians such as house officers and clinical associates.
    Develop materials and processes specific to the recruitment of physicians including advertising materials; networking with recruiters, private recruitment firms, external bodies and medical training programs.  This may include representing the organization at recr
