Adecco is currently recruiting an Automation SCADA Engineer for one of our TOP clients in Regina, Saskatchewan. To qualify for this Automation SCADA Engineer role, you must have a degree in Electronics, Electrical or Software Systems and 3 to 10 years of experience.
Automation SCADA Engineer job responsibilities:
Monitor SCADA hosts and facilities to identify problem areas, and maintain target availability levels (98% communications, 99.99% hardware)
Ensure internal systems and external interfaces/processes are adequately documented to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance processes.
Resolve SCADA system problems within specified time criteria.
Development of new SCADA display management standards and organization of existing display files
Development of a Visual Basic / XE programming standard for TGL displays
Develop HMI displays with input from users
Participate as a technical resource in the upgrade of the SCADA system application
Exercise lab testing of SCADA displays
Exercise commissioning of the SCADA system database
SCADA system database administration and commissioning related to projects
Qualifications:
Preferred -
Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Software Systems Engineering and Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
Alternative -
Degree in other Industrial Engineering considered with experience in SCADA, Computers and Networks
Experience with the following would be beneficial:
MS Office, Share Point
SCADA systems and communications networks in the oil and gas industry
Competency in software, computer, communications and cyber security
Working knowledge of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
