Description

The LPN is involved in all aspects of personal care and activities of daily living, distribution of bubble packed medication, treatments and dressings as well as assisting with Doctors rounds, and ordering medications.  The LPN has to be able to maintain confidentiality, be able to follow policy and procedures established by Lakeview Lodge and maintain professionalism in dress and attitude.
Specific Duties:
    Assist with all aspects of daily living
    Documentation of resident care
    Administration of medication and treatments
    Interaction with families, staff and health care professionals
    Assist other departments as required
    Assist the Director of Resident Care with Doctors rounds
    Assist the Director Resident Care with other duties such as ordering and storing medication and other necessary supplies
    Filing and chart maintenance
    Month end duties
    Prepare and serve snacks as required
    The LPN must refer medical inquires to the Director of Resident Care
    Demonstrate skill, efficiency and diligence in performing all assigned duties with minimal supervision
    Demonstrate responsibility and punctuality
    Recognizes and accepts responsibility for own actions
    Exercises courtesy and good judgment for the safety of the residents, visitors and staff members
    Cleaning of kitchen as well as miscellaneous cleaning as required
    Exercises good judgement in assessing the needs of the residents.
Required Certificates, Licenses
Possess a current SALPN license and medication course
Possess a current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
Possess a current Food Handling Certificate
Possess a current drivers license and own a reliable car
Must have a Criminal Record check.
