We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual to join our Melville Home & Agro Centre team as the Lumber Department Manager.

The Lumber Manager is responsible for overseeing the department and yard staff, and accountable for the sales, margin, expenses and inventory of the department. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of lumber products and excels in building lasting relationships with customers. He/she is also an innovator in providing exceptional customer experience and driving business excellence. The successful candidate must be a strong advocate and role model for workplace safety, and ensure his/her values align with ours: Excellence, Integrity and Progressive.

The ideal candidate must have outstanding leadership skills to engage and motivate team members, and to provide effective feedback and coaching for staff performance and development. Completion of a recognized Construction Estimating Program would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a retail management role.
