Description

Reporting to the Superintendent of Student Support Services, the Supervisor of Health & Well-being will provide leadership & support for the mental health & wellness initiatives within the division.

Responsibilities:
Provides clinical supervision of Child & Youth Counsellors
Leads Child & Youth Counsellor Meetings & Training
Provides supervision & support to Psychologists
Supports the mental health & wellness of students & staff
Manages Sun West mental health & well-being initiatives
Facilitates mental health professional development
Coordinates supports for students with behavioural disorders
Coordinates support for families of students with behaviour disorders
Manages & maintains partnerships with Ministries of Health, Social Services, Justice, & Corrections
Coordinates Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) meetings within Sun West

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master's degree; preference will be given to a candidate with experience in both the Education & Health fields
Prior supervisory experience is preferred
Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) Training
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Traumatic Events Systems (TES) Training
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act & application in crisis
Knowledge & experience of the Saskatchewan resources & supports for mental health & well-being
Ability to facilitate/lead communications & professional development on mental health & well-being
Ability to work independently & as a team member of the Student Support Services department
Ability to develop & maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff within the school system, with local & provincial organizations; & with a broad cross section of the local community
Proficiency in oral & written communication skills

This position operates out of Rosetown but will be expected to travel when required.
