Description

Chip and Dale Homes Inc. is a Non-Profit Organization providing residential and day program services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The Team Leader is primarily responsibility for the overall care and support of the residents in the home.  The Team Leader participates in the training, supervision and discipline of staff who work with the residents and he/she operates and maintains the residents home.  Duties of the Team Leader include, but are not limited, to the following key responsibilities:
    Resident Care & Programming
    Key Worker Responsibility
    Staff Training, Supervision & Discipline
    Financial Management of Resident's Funds
    Home Maintenance Duties
    Communication and Liaison
        On Call Duties


Rotation Shift: Days,Evenings & weekends

Skills Required:
A Disability Support Certificate or related post-secondary education and/or equivalent training and experience may be considered
Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and 1 year of supervisory experience and/or training
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques
Ability to perform scheduled routines and set priorities with minimal supervision
Ability to coach and motivate clients based on established programs
Time management/organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple and competing tasks.
Effective written and verbal communication
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Must enjoy keeping busy and being active out in the community
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to own vehicle
Must be flexible

This is a full time Team Leader position.
