MAINTENANCE/CARETAKER
FULL TIME - PERMANENT
DUTIES:
To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
To be dependable for all scheduled shifts
To provide weekend and evening coverage on a call out basis as required by the department
To have a good understanding of equipment operation and of preventative maintenance processes
To provide proper maintenance of the tools and storage areas
To provide construction services as required
To be familiar with and adhere to SHERWOOD Co-op policies and procedures
Special Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of general building maintenance or construction experience. This could include knowledge in either plumbing, electrical and/or general building repairs
Must be a self-starter and highly organized individual with the ability to achieve results in all key areas of responsibility
Grade XII education or equivalent
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Must have a valid operators licence
Must be physically fit as lifting of heavy objects is required
Must be willing to work at heights over 8 feet
Must be bondable
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
