- Assist with office procedures
- Explain process of consultation/procedure prior to patient's review by physician
- Serve as chaperone if required
- Welcome & Register patients seeking medical attention in person or by telephone, including appointment booking and retrieval of patients charts according to established policies and procedures.
- Proper telephone etiquette.
- Making Appointments and organizing daily schedules
- Billing, Submission & Reconciliation. Prepares billings for submission to patients, MSB, WSIB and other third parties as required and according to established policies and procedures.
- Organizing OR bookings and schedules.
- All Administrative duties such as transcription, filing and faxing necessary to maintain proper patient records according to HIPA (Health Information Privacy Act).
- Prepares and types correspondence from dictation; drafts and originates correspondence on designated subjects, including follow-up
- Handles prescription renewals, and maintains and organizes patients records (thereby responsible for keeping the patients records organized).
- Communication on a regular and organized way between patients and referring physicians in a consequential manner.
- Daily cleaning duties & Equipment sterilization
- Monitor & Replenish all supplies necessary to run the office.
- Reconciles accounts payables/receivables, and produces day sheets and financial statements on regular and timely basis
- Be prepared to accompany Physician on itinerant trips to outlying clinics including overnight visits.
- It is an essential requirement candidate possess a minimum of 3 months working exclusively in an ENT office/clinic/in patient environment. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
