QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will be an innovative professional with a thorough knowledge of community services and programs. The essential skills, knowledge and abilities required include the following:
Relevant undergraduate degree and a minimum of 8 years managerial work experience.
Experience in northern health systems, community services and the development of community programs such as Mental Health and Addictions, Emergency Response and Capacity Development
Experience working in a First Nations organization and/or ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset.
Skilled in oral and written communication, including use of public relations and knowledge of avenues available for dissemination of information. Ability to lead discussions and public address gatherings concerned with health.
Ability to implement strategic plan- directing staff to implementation
Demonstrated experience in proposal writing
Ability to research, analyze and interpret community health information.
Strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
