Under the direct supervision of the Home Visiting Supervisor you will become part of a team of Home Visitors working to provide in home support to vulnerable children and families in Yorkton. Responsibilities include: establishing & maintaining a trusting relationship with families by providing continuous family support through home visiting; assisting families in developing their own goals, objectives & activities that best meet the needs of the family; maintaining accurate records of home visits; assisting families in the referral process to other existing agency programs; computerized data collection; accountable to SIGN; support KidsFirst program principles. Qualifications: knowledge of resources & programs available in the community; valid driver's license and the use of your own vehicle to provide transportation for families; grade 12 education or equivalent; understand confidentiality policies; willing to support families from a variety of cultural backgrounds; ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team; belief in a strength-based approach; the ability to work flexible hours; competency in computer programs; criminal record background check-vulnerable sector; experience with culturally diverse groups would be an asset.
