SK Livestock Finance Co-operative Ltd. (SKLF) is looking for an inaugural General Manager to lead a multi-million-dollar livestock financing company in the Sask agricultural industry. The Board is seeking experienced candidates who are willing to roll up their sleeves and assist in launching the new entity, including developing programming, operational policies and procedures, and recruiting qualified staff. The position is available immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Advocate for and reinforce good governance at all levels of the organization
Develop high-quality business strategies and plans ensuring alignment with short- and long-term objectives
Effectively lead a provincial team
Oversee all operations and business activities to produce desired results
Make high-quality decisions to advance the business and maintain financial viability
Enforce adherence to program guidelines and operational policies and procedures to effectively manage risk
Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions for improvement
Build trusted relationships with key partners, the membership and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years experience as a General Manager/CEO/Executive Director or other senior leadership position
Experience leading high-performance teams (experience leading remote teams considered an asset)
Strong understanding of Sask and Canadian financial and agricultural industries
In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
Experience with diverse business functions
Experience working for a financial institution/in the agricultural industry at a leadership level; familiarity with Livestock Loan Guarantee Program/other agricultural lending programs; Business, finance or accounting designation(s) considered an asset
SKLF is open to the successful candidate living in or near any major centre in Sask and does not require that they be based out of Regina.
