The Canadian Mental Health Association (Saskatchewan Division) Inc. invites qualified applicants for the permanent, out-of-scope, part-time (20 hrs/wk)position of Program Director (Mental Health Worker III) in our Moose Jaw Branch. As the senior staff person in the Branch, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of community-based programs for persons suffering from mental illness.

The Canadian Mental Health Association is a non-profit organization which seeks to promote mental health, prevent mental illness, change attitudes towards mental illness, and provide community-based rehabilitation and support services for persons with psychiatric and emotional disorders.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Association, you will work with a local Branch Board of Directors and be responsible for supervising staff in a unionized environment.

To qualify, you will have a University Degree in the Social Sciences, Social Work or a related field, preferably at the graduate level, or a diploma in psychiatric nursing. Your educational background will be supplemented by a number of years experience in the human services. An in-depth knowledge of the mental health field is required.

Administrative and supervisory experience in a unionized workplace; connecting with and involving the community in programs; fundraising; public relations; advocacy; and working effectively with persons with a disability and their families, and with a community Board of Directors, would be definite assets. The successful candidate will be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check.
