As the Safety Compliance Officer, you are responsible to support the implementation of safety programs to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, with a focus on compliance. You will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to supervisors and managers to enable them to ensure OHS responsibilities are being met.
To qualify, you will have a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, NCSO Designation and a Class 5 Drivers License. Certified First Aid/CPR is an asset. In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 3-5 years of experience in the following areas: comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, experience with executing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, knowledge of WCB regulations, knowledge of prime contractor legislation, strong interpersonal skills, team collaboration, facilitation, coaching and mentoring, leading teams and experience in construction site safety.
Special Requirements: The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Fit for Duty test.
