Description

Are you passionate about building economic development for Saskatchewan communities?  Are you familiar with Indigenous business development and are able to navigate the intricate niche market?  Muskoday Economic Development Authority Ltd. (MEDA) is currently seeking a half-time Executive Director to support operations and fulfill directions as set out by the Board of Directors and guided by our governing documents.  

MEDA is a dynamic Economic Development Corporation owned by Muskoday First Nation.  The Corporation was created in order to lead the business arm of Muskoday First Nation and to leverage assets available to, and owned by, the Nation.  MEDA is currently enjoying increasing demand due to business partnerships and business developments.  This position involves utilizing your business networks and developmental skills in order to create a pipeline of prospective projects that you will analyze and provide recommendations to the Board.  

The Executive Director will be responsible for:

    Implementing the Muskoday Economic Development Authority strategic plan
    Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners to support business attraction, retention and growth
    Sector focused initiatives, research and relationships
    The development of policy, plans, programs and projects that support the day-to-day operations and strategic directions
    Working with the Muskoday Economic Development Authority Board and sub-committees
    Active participation on various partnership initiatives

You will possess the skills and experience to be able to seek various opportunities, provide due diligence and risk assessments, and provide technical presentations to the Board and other stakeholders.  This opportunity is intended to evolve to increase the capacity of the position and increase staffing for the growing Corporation.  Preference will be given to individuals with a combination of relevant education and experience in a variety of industries.
