The University of Regina Students Union (URSU) requires an energetic, motivated and innovative
Research and Policy Analyst responsible for the research and analysis of information, consulting with stakeholders, government officials, and internal staff, the development of options and preparation of recommendations on a wide range of policy projects. Responsibilities will include the coordination and implementation of operational policies, programs and strategies necessary to support the organizations overall plans and objectives.
As this position is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs, a component of the Youth Employment Strategy only those meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply. Eligible candidates must:
a) be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
b) be registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
c) be returning to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
d) be a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program;
e) have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
f) be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* and;
g) must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with Saskatchewan legislation
and regulations.
*Foreign students are not eligible.
