We are searching for an energetic, creative person to support a young woman with an intellectual disability. Support requirements include assisting with accessing recreational opportunities such as movies, shows, coffee shops, facilitating friendships and outings, menu planning and grocery shopping, physical exercise.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with individuals with disabilities, is a strong advocate, works independently, understands and believes in inclusion. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy meeting new people and facilitating friendships. Furthermore candidate must have a fun, friendly and outgoing personality.
Experience working with people will be considered a benefit but not necessary as training will be provided.
Candidate will be required to transport and have access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed), be prepared to provide documentations, will have a criminal record check.
Hours are during the day, 20 hours per week. Start date as soon as possible until End August 2019
