Applications are invited for the position of full-time permanent Occupational Therapist in Melfort with duties commencing the beginning of the 2019 2020 school year.
The Occupational Therapists role is a leadership position working with other members of our educational community in pursuit of a Culture of Excellence within NESD. Reporting to the Coordinator of Learning, the Occupational Therapist will work closely with, and form an integral part of a strong Student Support Services leadership team.
The Occupational Therapist will provide specialist services in the area of occupational therapy within an educational setting. The individual in this position will be expected to collaborate, using an environmental approach that responds to student needs in an inclusive classroom; to consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff; to assess students; to report to parents; to provide recommendations and classroom supports; and to write reports. The occupational therapist will focus on the strength of the fit between students and their classroom environment.
