Facility: Royal University Hospital and Idylwyld Centre
Job Description: As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager, the Addiction Counsellor Degree, is responsible for the day to day client service delivery (development, implementation, delivery and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical case management, community/program education and community/program development.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Addictions Counseling or Human Service
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of substance abuse and addictions, cause and effects, evidence based models of treatment intervention and their application to diverse populations
Ability to deal with life-threatening situations, including suicide
Comprehensive skills in case management, collaboration, program development and evaluation, and emergency response
Knowledge of individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods.
Flexibility to work evenings and respond to occasional crisis calls from colleagues and clients outside of working hours.
Provide respectful, equitable and effective services to diverse populations, as defined by culture, age, gender, language, ethnicity, socio-economic status, legal status, health, ability, sexual orientation, type and mode of substance use, etc.
Affirm and value the worth of all individuals, families, groups, and communities; and protect the dignity of all.
