Description

Under broad executive direction, the VP Finance provides leadership and direction for the Finance department. The position is responsible to lead the treasury function of the organization including investment portfolio management, daily cash management and short term borrowings. Through market intelligence and financial analysis, the position provides input into setting interest rates on products offered. The position develops, implements, and executes balance sheet management strategies to optimize organizational profitability and risk within board and operating level policy parameters. In addition, the position is responsible to actively manage the financial risks of the credit union (market and liquidity risk), monitors and reports on key financial risks, and contributes to the development and implementation of financial risk management policies and practices.  The position is also responsible for the preparation of the annual Capital, Liquidity and Contingency Funding Plans.
