Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accounting Clerk position will report to the Finance Manager for direction and guidance.  This position is directly accountable for accurately verifying and processing daily financial transactions and providing on-going administrative support to the operations of RHA.  

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the accounts payable function and is required to provide accurate processing of invoices in a timely manner.  As part of financial services, you will prepare bank deposits, maintain cash levels for floats and monitor telephone and internet banking payments.  The Accounting Clerk is also required to assist with accounts receivable in the areas of collections on delinquent accounts, any applicable charge backs to tenants, as well as, assist with rental billing.
    
QUALIFICATIONS
*A certificate, diploma or degree in Accounting combined with 2-3 years work experience.
*You possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to complete basic accounting functions.
*You thrive in a team environment and are able to effectively collaborate and coordinate with coworkers.
*You have exceptional time management skills and are able to prioritize and organize a large workload.
*You have a high degree of self-initiation and are able to complete work independently with minimal supervision.  
*Confidentiality is one of your main priorities while at work.  
*You respect and value the opportunity to work in a diverse environment.
*You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*You can provide a clear and satisfactory criminal record check upon hire.
*Experience with JDE or Oracle accounting package would be considered an asset.
