Description

Job Duties

Plan workload and flow, assign daily duties to the welders to achieve maximum efficiency, adjust as required
Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations
Develop strategic performance metrics and targets that are consistent with company goals and standards
Ensure all employees comply with company policies, procedures,and ethical standards
Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
Communicate and assign duties and priorities for Forklift Operator in welding area
Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development based on individual needs of employees
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations on an ongoing basis
Be involved in manufacturing of new products in compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
Communicate with Pre-Fabrication Supervisor, ensure timely delivery of materials
Oversee all workmanship to ensure high standards and efficiency
Work with Operations Manager to identify areas of improvement in production,  safety and quality standards, and meeting customer needs
Oversee and maintain inventory levels for welding consumables and related production tools
Participate in site and workplace inspections
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting
Journeyperson Welder or equivalent experience
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation
