Driver / Ribfest Cook Prairie BBQ Ltd.
Prairie Smoke & Spice BBQ is a growing food service business with operations all over Western Canada. We are National and World BBQ Champions.
We are looking for someone to drive our truck and 32' festival trailer between approximately 10 events between Saskatchewan and Vancouver Island. During the events, this person will work with our ribfest crew to prepare and serve thousands of guests per week. Our crew spends their summer in some of the most beautiful parks in Canada.
POSITION TITLE: Ribfest Driver / Cook
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal Full Time
DUTIES
1. Rig Driver
- Drive our truck and transport our festival trailer between events.
- Park rig at each site in prescribed spot, store rig on occasion between events for 1-3 days at a time
Set up or tear down (with rest of crew) at each event.
2. (at events) Ribfest Kitchen Help
- Receive shipments of meat & supplies
- Lift heavy cases of meat
- Trim, season, slice meat
- Preparation of side dishes
- Cleaning of kitchen area, cooler, smokers, and trailer as required (all crew shares this responsibility)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of professional highway transport experience
- Mountain driving experience an asset (Alberta to Vancouver)
- Valid commercial drivers licence (Class 1 or Class 5 with Heavy Trailer Endorsement)
- Food Service experience preferred but not required.
COMPENSATION
o Competitive
o Vacation pay accrued at 3/52 of base pay
- Season end bonus
- Free food on operating days
