Description

Reporting to the Foreman, the Pipeline Labourer is responsible for the general labourer duties on site.

Working Conditions
Weekly work hours vary to meet project needs
Overtime as required
Working outdoors
Working in and around noise and dust

Responsibilities
Leadership
Demonstrate the Promise and contribute to it becoming embedded across the organization.

Pipeline Labour
Install cathodic protection materials such as anodes, coke breeze, cables etc.
Complete splicing of cable.
Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision.
Maintain all equipment and tools in good and safe working condition and report any findings to supervision.
Act as a swamper for heavy equipment.
Operate skid steer with various attachments such auger, mower, trencher etc.
Move equipment and materials between sites.
Participate in daily tool box talks and take active role in the health and safety program.

Qualifications
2 years experience in the construction industry an asset
Drug and Alcohol testing required
H2S, Standard First Aid, ABCGA endorsed Global Ground Disturbance level 2 training, TDG
Additional tickets may be required
Valid Drivers license
General construction safety knowledge

Physical Requirements
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
Safety equipment will be required, 6 high ankle steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, safety vest and gloves to be provided
