Reporting to the Foreman, the Equipment Operator assumes responsibility for all general equipment operator duties required on the site.
Working Conditions
Weekly work hours vary to meet project needs
Overtime as required
Working both indoors and outdoors
Working in and around noise and dust
Responsibilities
Leadership
Demonstrate the Promise and contribute to it becoming embedded across the organization.
Equipment Operator
Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
Ensure the safety of your team members.
Participate in daily safety meetings.
Complete daily equipment service checks and complete daily inspection logs (pre-trip inspections).

Participate in corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
2 years experience as an equipment operator
Experience with integrated grade control systems an asset
Drug and Alcohol testing required
H2S, Standard First Aid, ABCGA endorsed Global Ground Disturbance level 2 training, TDG
Additional tickets may be required
Valid Drivers license
Capable of cutting grades, work with shoring systems and finish to tolerances
Strong focus on attention to quality and details and customer satisfaction
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with diverse personalities and work force
Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude

Physical Requirements
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
Extensive shoveling & raking will be required
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
