As a Design Engineer you will be part of a dynamic group that designs and creates leading edge products. You will be responsible for the design and development of new products through research and development as well as improving existing products.

Key accountabilities include:
* Draws on knowledge and experience, uses references and resources as required to build a logical approach to address problems or opportunities and/or manage issues at hand
* Contributes on research and development projects and carries out responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe and professional manner
* Ensures quality in a products design for usability, reliability, functionality and manufacturability
* Provides input to project including timelines, forecasting, feasibility and budgeting
* Maintain a current detailed knowledge of design criteria, material and processes through industry organizations, review of supplier offerings, literature and conferences

Qualifications:
* Have a minimum of 5 years of Canadian engineering experience
* Professional membership in APEGS is preferred
* Experience with machine design, SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD systems), and manufacturing processes
* Ability to interpret and apply drawings, standards and specifications
* Exceptional organizational skills; manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Have the ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work without direction
* Big picture thinker, able to determine deign and manufacturing bottlenecks within the project
