Description

The Human Resources Clerk 3, has a range of administrative duties and responsibilities including but not limited to, the following; prepare and post position vacancies, this task includes posting internally as well as externally (online, newspapers etc.);tracking applicants; sending letters, and preparing standard reports;  administer the Colleges benefits plans, this task includes completing forms, entering data online, and answering questions from staff related to their benefits;prepare and send letters/memos related to evaluations,increments, layoffs, and special northern leave,complete the related data entry as required;timesheets, this task includes recording approved leaves,checking timesheets for accuracy, and processing them for payroll on a bi-weekly basis; type, proofread, fax and photocopy documents as required; make travel and accommodation arrangements as required; and other duties as assigned.

Additionally this position requires; an understanding of,and ability to maintain, confidentiality; organizational skills that allow handling multiple projects while paying great attention to detail; effective time management skills the ability to prioritize work; the ability to work independently;intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access;and working knowledge of office procedures and business communication (e.g. Letter writing, proofreading, filing, listening skills).
