Insightrix Research Inc. is a full-service market research firm, whose software division, Insightrix Communities, focuses on software development for its own use and for sale as a SaaS throughout North America and off-shore. Head office is in Saskatoon, with a sales office in Bangkok.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager Software Development, the successful applicant will be enhancing existing software including the Insightrix Online Community Platform and SMS Survey systems as well as new development projects, with a focus on reliability, security and intuitive use.
Job Duties:
Develop and implement new software programs
Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Design and update software database
Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
Skills: Analyzing information , software design, documentation, testing, teamwork, general programming skills, software development fundamentals, software development process, software requirements, and architecture. Strong communication skills, ability to listen and understand user needs, personal organization and attention to detail.
Programming languages (knowledge in these is not required but is considered an asset): PHP, Javascript, Python, MySQL.
Frameworks: AngularJS, Selenium (Python version)
Markup Languages: HTML/CSS
Qualifications:
A diploma or degree in computer science or a related field
