Insightrix Research Inc. is a full service market research firm, whose software division, Insightrix Communities, focuses on software development for its own use and for sale as a SaaS. Head office is in Saskatoon, with a sales office in Bangkok.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Software Development Manager, the successful candidate will work on developing cutting edge market research tools, including on-going enhancement of our existing software, online communities and SMS survey systems. We are always looking for new projects that can help provide insights to us and our clients. The successful candidate will take a leadership role, helping mentor the junior developers and actively participating in the planning and requirements stage of development.

Job Duties:
Develops software solutions by identifying needs, designing a solution, developing the solution designing test cases for the solution, and participating in each step of the software development life cycle
Identifies potential solutions for various problems and determines time and resources required to implement those solutions.
Create documentation for your code and development work, review existing documentation, as well as the documentation created by junior developers
Research various third-party software for use within the company
Offer input into policies and procedures related to software development
Review work done by other developers for security and quality
Provide mentorship, advice, and educational opportunities for junior developers


Qualifications:
    A degree or Diploma in computer science or a related field
    Experience in management and a masters degree is considered an asset
