Description

The Data Architect is responsible for the overall design of the electronic data architecture at eHealth, which covers various health databases, data integrations and access solutions.  The Data Architect provides the guidance necessary to project teams, Information and Analytic Services team, and business operations (corporate, eHealth Business, and IT teams) in order to achieve effective enterprise change.  The Data Architect is responsible for defining and establishing architectural data standards.

We are searching for a Data Architect who would thrive in a complex environment and will be charged with managing and leading the design of our provincial data structure with a key focus on third party data integration and normalization.  This highly visible, busy, and challenging role will be reporting to the Director of IT Architecture.

The Data Architect will work within a team of architects to provide an integrated strategy for the organization encompassing the 4 domains of enterprise architecture.

To succeed, you must possess an exceptional ability to communicate, effectively wade through political situations if and when they arise, and take on big bold organizational challenges. It is an expectation that you will also embrace our management philosophy of Continuous Improvement and be actively involved in the use of the methodology within the organization and with our health partners/customers.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a degree in  computer science or a related discipline, supplemented by several years of increasing responsibility within a complex,  integrated support environment.  Successful candidate should have 10 years related work experience, industry certification in IT Architecture, and related work experience in information design.
