Position Summary
Journeyman millwright (apprentices may be considered)
Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of equipment to allow for efficient repair/replacement results
Welding and fabrication on a regular basis
Essential Skills:
Must be CWB certified.
2 - 5 years experience with a good working knowledge of machinery and equipment
Time management
Must not be afraid of heights
Valid driver's license
Safety tickets considered an asset
Basic weld and fabrication skills; strong understanding of metallurgy
Ability to work in various conditions (noise, dust, weather conditions)
Should be able to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
Strong understanding of measuring, layout/cutting, power and threading and assembly tools, as well as fastening devices
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi task and prioritize
Able to read and understand all codes and regulations
Good communication skills; ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and model strong behaviors of safety, and respectful workplace practices
Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
