Reporting to the Operations Manager, the QA/QC Lead is responsible for leading Stuart Olsons Construction Quality Assurance and Control Program over many projects.
This position is based in Estevan, SK with travel to various sites.
Responsibilities
QA/QC Supervising
Perform quality reviews of construction specifications and documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
Review all data obtained during quality assurance/quality control activities to ensure consistency with company and client policies.
Develop project quality plans and ITPs and associated documents.
Communicate and work closely with construction team to ensure completion of inspection and testing activities.
Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during qa/qc activities.
Inform management team issues and developments identified during qa/qc activities.
Prepare and present program information to the management team.
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry qa/qc codes and standards.
Work directly with client quality group to ensure Inspection Test Plan is adhered to and requirements are met.
Participate in and/or lead Quality Audits including vendor/subcontractor audits.
Complete audits of as built drawings and project quality documentation.
Perform and ensure turnover of all inspection and test reports.
Support the clients during regulatory audits and inspections.
Supervise team of Quality inspectors.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree, or post-secondary courses and certifications
Trades of other technical certifications
10 years QA/QC experience working in industrial/construction industry
Ability to read, understand and interpret legal terminology found in such documents as contracts, government regulations and technical codes or standards
Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
