Part-time/Full-time
Building supply store looking for lumber desk sales person. This person should have building material knowledge. Should have experience with tools, lumber, construction, windows, doors etc. We are looking for a person that works well with others and demonstrates excellent communication skills verbally and written. Must be able work on their own as well as with others in a team environment. Candidate must be organized and pay good attention to detail.
-Must have experience in building supplies material. Be familiar with and maintain up-to-date information on pricing.
-Must be computer literate. Experience with point of sales software is an asset.
-Communicate product knowledge to the customer as appropriate.
-Know prices, practices and policies of the company's competitors.
-Help customers solve building problems.
-Resolve customer complaints.
-Present quotes in a timely manner. Maintain professional confidentiality of all store and customer records.
-Work on additional duties and assignements as assigned by management.
Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
