Description

Reporting to the Plant Foreman, our plant assistant helps to maintain our asphalt plant for highway and road projects. If youre an individual who thrives in a culture based on health and safety, respect, and executing high quality work, W.F. Botkin is looking for you!

Job Duties:
-Operation and maintenance of asphalt plant
-Loading and unloading materials
-Operating front end loader
-Follow safe work procedures and wear proper personal protection equipment
-Validate proper documentation for loads
-Clean and organize plant, yard and equipment
-Promote and enforce quality measures
-Report mechanical failures and/or material inconsistencies
-Miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:
-1-5 years of experience working with asphalt. Direct asphalt plant experience is an asset
-Some mechanical (gear) and electrical (switches, fuses, etc.) knowledge
-Proven ability to weld as needed
-Knowledge and/or experience using Terex Impulse system and/or Terex CMI Asphalt plants is a definite asset
-Valid Class 5 drivers license with the ability to get to and from site
-Clean drivers abstract (please attached a copy of your abstract to your application)
-Ability to perform strenuous, physical tasks on a daily basis
-High attention to detail with strong values rooted in health and safety
-Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
-Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Flexibility to work overtime and/or out of town as needed
-Steel-toe safety boots are required
