Job Description: THE STAFF PHYSICAL THERAPIST IS AN INTEGRAL MEMBER OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM OF THE FIT FOR ACTIVE LIVING PROGRAM.  THE STAFF PHYSICAL THERAPIST WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MUSCULOSKELETAL AND FUNCTIONAL EVALUATION, PHYSICAL RECONDITIONING, WORK SIMULATION, AND EDUCATION.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Advanced problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced decision making skills
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN THE TREATMENT OF MUSCULOSKELETAL INJURIES, CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT, AND ERGONOMIC EVALUATION.  REQUIRES CONCENTRATION AND ATTENTION FOR FORMAL TEAM ASSESSMENT, TREATMENT, TEACHING, AND REPORT WRITING.  REQUIRES COPING SKILLS TO WORK WITH CLIENTS DEALING WITH STRESS, ROLE LOSS, AND OTHER PSYCHOSOCIAL ISSUES.  SOME PHYSICAL EXERTION REQUIRED.

In a 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
