Inland Kenworth. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Accounting team as an Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant. This is a full term position.
Qualifications & Skills:
*A combination of accounting training and experience will be considered.
*Good understanding of Accounts Payable and General Accounting procedures
*Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and numeracy skills
*Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
*Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
*Enter data in a timely manner with strong attention to accuracy.
*Data entry of Accounts Payable invoices ensuring proper approval and coding.
*Reconciling Accounts Payable vendor statements and preparation of invoices for payment.
*Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing, payment inquiries, and discrepancies.
*Process weekly cheque runs
*Maintain filing system for accounts payable documents
*The ability to use multiple programs on a daily basis.
*Good understanding of basic account principals.
