Executive Director, Indian Child and Family Services
Full time permanent position

Awasisak Nikan CFS Family Services Inc. is an independent Indian child and family services agency located in west central Saskatchewan. Awasisak Nikan CFS provides statutory and support services to the Thunderchild First Nation. Awasisak Nikan CFS Family Services Inc. is seeking an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated person to fill the position of Executive Director.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting directly to the Awasisak Nikan CFS Family Services Inc. Board of Directors.  The Executive Director will possess an understanding of Child and Family Services and experience in management, program development and evaluation in a mandated Child and Family Service organization. He/She is responsible for the development of policies, standards and procedures, program and service development and review, personnel and fisccal management, and public relations and liaison.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-    MSW with administrative experience or BSW degree with 2 years supervisory experience and training.
-    Minimum 4 years child and family services experience
-    Knowledge of Cree culture language and traditions; the political and social objectives of the First Nation
-    Demonstrated knowledge of fiscal, personnel, program and service planning, implementation, administration and evaluation.
-       Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child Welfare and Family Support Act and the Sask Family Services Act
-       Possess excellent communication and computer skills
-    Satisfactory Criminals Records Check due prior to work start; and,
-    Valid class 5 Drivers License and drivers abstract;
