Description

The Opportunity:
As part of the Finance Team, this position is the keeper of accurate labour, yield, and usage information in regards to material volumes, material costs and movements. The Cost Analyst also assists with financial reporting activities.

A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
-Provide detailed yield/manufacturing analytics to management for decision making purposes
-Ensure controls are in place to correctly report manufacturing performance, investigating and correcting discrepancies
-Work with manufacturing/engineering/finance to put in place more efficient and accurate processes
-Participate in inventory management through posting of cycle counts, inventory dispositions, and following up on issues
-Assist with financial reporting activities (e.g. journal entries, balance sheet recs, etc.
-As part of the Finance team, assist managers in managing their budgets, as well as participate in period end duties where required
-Be active and participate in Six Sigma projects

What you will bring:
-Post-secondary education in an Accounting program, or equivalent work experience
-Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
-Knowledge of SAP or an ERP environment is an asset
-The ability to work cross-functionally
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong leadership and team building skills
