Skills Needed:
- a minimum of one year full time milking experience in the past 5 years, preference given to someone with more than three years
- computer literate
- enough spoken and written English language skills to work in an English language workplace
- at least one of the following;
- AI ticket, as well as heat detection skills (or equivalent on the job training)
- experience mixing feed and/or driving large equipment (ie, tractors, skid steer, manure
spreader)
- A1 drivers licence
- hoof trimming course completion or equivalent on the job training
- medication administration (i/v experience) fresh cow management and health
observations skills, mastitis detection/treatment

Duties (will include a combination of the following):
Milking 325 cows one to two times per day (double 12 parlour)
Treating Mastitis
Herd health (including treating sick cows and managing fresh cows)
Filling footbaths
Monitor calvings
Feeding and caring for cows/calves
Pushing up feed using skid steer
Breeding cows (if applicable)
Maintenance
Fieldwork
Operating equpiment
Cleaning stalls/pens
Reporting to/communicate with owner
Keep paper and electronic records
