Description

As Animal Welfare Educator, you will assist in the development of a new website and other materials relating to animal welfare.

Primary responsibilities for the position of Animal Welfare Educator:

    Create website design and page layouts using Wix
    Upload website images, video, and copy as needed
    Research content related to animal sheltering
    Assist in the development of educational/promotional materials  
    Assist with planning and staging of public events, as needed  

The ideal candidate will have an educational background in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, education, graphic design, or marketing.

This position requires:  
    Good verbal and written communication skills
    Attention to detail
    Ability to work in a team environment
    Interest in promoting animal welfare

Previous work or volunteer experience in the animal welfare sector would be an asset. Other desirable skills for this position include:  
    Website development (preferably using Wix web development platform)  
    Graphic design
    Photography and videography

This is an 8-week term position, funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
