DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To prepare, administer and be responsible for the sales, margin, expenses, inventory
and SPMH of the Lumber department
To ensure all team members adhere to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, staff appearance, housekeeping and loss prevention.
To ensure acceptable level of service is provided, team attitude is appropriate and
the commitment care program is followed.
To ensure proper management of assets and adherence to a maintenance schedule.
To ensure adherence to the image checklist as per facilities and equipment.
To prepare the annual budget and ensure claims, invoices and all other paper work is
done timely, accurately and meets policy and procedure.
To ensure the proper recruitment procedures are followed.
To implement and enforce written performance expectations and standards.
Responsible for developing a yearly training plan and ensuring that it is followed.
To hold regular team meetings and to ensure all team members receive annual reviews at appropriate times.
To be responsible for the adherence and enforcement of Prairie North Co-op policies,
procedures and union contract.
To ensure self development is planned for and the initiative is taken to improve
knowledge, skills or attitude
Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid drivers license
Must be a self-starter providing and promoting excellent customer service.
Knowledge of estimating and building materials is essential
Positive attitude and team building skills
Attention to detail
Continued development of loyal customer base and continue to build new relationships
3rd year estimating certificate and or years of service
