Our client, READ Saskatoon addresses and supports the advancement of literacy and learning in our community. READ provides access to a range of literacy services for adults and families through the work of staff, trained volunteers and community partners.
We are looking to grow our team by adding a Program Facilitator.
The Program Facilitator delivers workshops related to READ Saskatoon financial literacy initiatives. They facilitate and administer financial literacy events/programs, manage volunteers, and build community partnerships. In addition, they provide guidance, support, resources, and tools to other organizations in the province.
Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver financial literacy workshops, programs, and events
- Collaborate with community partners to plan events and programs;
- Prepare workshop/program materials;
- Facilitate READ Saskatoon financial literacy programs, events, and training;
2. Coordinate and administrate financial literacy initiatives
- Arrange financial literacy events, programs, and/or additional learning opportunities;
- Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit literacy participants
- Coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers
- Monitor the project activities on a regular basis
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at a high level of quality;
- Write monthly, interim and final reports on projects for management and funders; report evaluation findings to the Program Manager and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate;
- Maintain forms and records to document program and volunteer activities, adhering to confidentiality and privacy policies of READ Saskatoon;
- Track and maintain professional relationships and initiate new partnerships/contacts locally and provincially, through meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities;
- Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks;
